Notes on World Leaders
Today in human geography we took notes on different world leaders. First was Enrique Peña Nieto, the leader of Mexico. He has low approval ratings, and is known as a “Teflon candidate” because nothing sticks to him. It is believed he had his wife killed so he could marry another woman. Xi Jinping, leader of China, is the son of a veteran who was a founder of the Chinese Communist party. Xi is married to folksinger Peng Lijuang, who is an army general. Narendra Modi, the leader of India, came from the lowest of classes in the caste system India has. He has a masters in political science and has an inspiring rags to riches story. The leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is known as a heartless, ruthless and ambitious leader, having served in the KGB. Putin also has been known to eliminate opponents threatening his leadership. The leader of Germany, Angela Merkel, is an extremely intelligent person, with a degree in physics and physical chemistry, as well as a PhD in quantum chemistry. She is the most powerful woman in the world, and the third most powerful person in the world. Theresa May, the leader of the United Kingdom and a supporter of brexit, took over for David Cameron after he resigned following the brexit vote. Queen Elizabeth, the symbolical leader of the United Kingdom, has been queen of England for 65 years and counting. Finally, Emmanuel Macron, the leader of France, is most notably known for his relationship with a woman 24 years older then him. They met when he was in high school (he was a student, she was a teacher) and claim their relationship started when he was 18.
